Hello!
My Name is Ali!
I'm the artist and little gremlin hands behind Poltergeist Heist. My pronouns are she/her/they/them, I'm 28 and I live in the baron north of the united states. I spend my (very few) off hours hanging at home and cuddling my cat, preferably in the hammock by our garden. I also love to camp, travel and enjoy the warm weather outdoors with my boyfriend. We both get to travel to different cities and sling my art now, too!
I started this wonderful journey February of 2022 and it has exceeded my expectations ten fold. I always get asked how I started doing this and in the moment it always perplexes me. I have been artistic my whole life with a background in drawing, jewelry making, sculpting, and painting. I really think the fascination started from my special interest in science and anatomy. I was taking college level anatomy courses when I was 15 years old and it just progressed from there. I gain two associates degrees in science and art before I was unable to continue on with college. My art is a direct reflection of my life long interests in art and anatomy.
This journey has also been a form of exposure therapy for me, in multiple ways. I've had minor fears of moths, spiders, frogs, blood, the list goes on, that have no gone and passed. I've also had emotional fears from society, darkness, intimacy (such as sharing what goes on in my brain) and experienced major loss as a young adult. Channeling my emotions through my art has been the best addiction I've experienced. Right now I'm trying to specialize in skeletal cleaning and articulation and domestic/small mammal taxidermy.
I'm not much for talking about myself so we'll keep the introduction brief
